Thomas was the only Louisiana player selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. This marks the fifth consecutive year that a player from the Ragin’ Cajuns program has been drafted. Thomas is the first Louisiana player drafted by the Cowboys.

The New Orleans native was a full-time starter for the Cajuns over the last two seasons. It’s unclear if he’ll stay at tackle or move to guard in the NFL. Additionally Thomas was the third offensive lineman selected by the Cowboys in this class. The 6’4” 331-pounder was originally a two-star prospect in the class of 2019. In 2023, Thomas was an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention.

Thomas was one of six players from the Sun Belt Conference to be selected in this year’s class.
