LAFAYETTE, La. — The Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns spring football game is just a week away.
The Cajuns practiced this week in preparation for the annual spring event.
The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, April 20, but was pushed back a week.
Regardless, the game is closed to the public because of construction at Cajun Field.
Some pre-season injuries could also impact the game's format.
But on the bright side, head coach Michael Desormeaux said he's pleased with the progress of his defense during practices.
He added starting quarterback Chandler Fields is having a "great spring."
