The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network debuts with Pelicans games taking center stage

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - WVUE-TV has introduced The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, a new network comprising 13 stations that will offer exceptional sports and entertainment content to 9.7 million viewers in the Gulf South region. The network's flagship content will feature broadcasts of New Orleans Pelicans games.
The Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, broadcasting from WVUE-TV in New Orleans, will show 75 out of the 82 regular season Pelicans games following Gray Media's newly announced partnership with the team. This partnership highlights our dedication to providing captivating content to our audience and backing local sports.
On Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 7 p.m., the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network will kick off the regular season with the Pelicans hosting the Chicago Bulls at the Smoothie King Center. The game between the Pelicans and Bulls will also be shown on WVUE FOX 8.
The Pelicans' television broadcast crew features Joel Meyers, who will be back to deliver the play-by-play commentary alongside color analyst Antonio Davis.
Andrew Lopez is set to become the sideline reporter. During home games, Lopez will take on the role of hosting pregame, halftime, and postgame shows alongside analyst Wesley Johnson. Meanwhile, for away games, Johnson will collaborate with Erin Summers to host the shows.
The network will be available free over-the-air with an antenna in all affiliate markets, ensuring broad access for all fans. Viewers can look forward to seeing broadcasts in Gray Media markets including:
