RVING, TX – Tulane football's redshirt freshman quarterback Darian Mensah was named to the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Weekly Honor Roll on Monday following the second week of action.

Mensah led Tulane to a near upset of No. 16 Kansas State over the weekend. He completed career-highs of 19 passes for 342 yards plus two touchdowns. His 342 yards passing was the 74th 300+ passing game for an individual in school history. His 342 yards passing is tied for 42nd all-time in a single game for a Tulane quarterback.

On the season Mensah is 29-for-41 for 547 yards and four touchdowns. He is completing 70.7 percent of his passes, has a quarterback efficiency rating of 210.1 and is averaging 273.5 yards a contest.

He is the second Tulane football player to be honored by the league office this season following Rayshawn Pleasant's selection as AAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 7.
