Two Jaguars named SWAC Players of the Week

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana — The Southwestern Athletic Conference recognized two Southern University football players as Players of the Week following their week one game.
Joshua Griffin, the kicker, and Czavian Teasett, the quarterback, were honored by the SWAC for their outstanding performance in the victory against the Savannah State Tigers.

Griffin successfully made all three field goals, with distances of 38, 44, and 49 yards. Additionally, he converted all three extra-point tries.
Teasett came into the game during the second quarter for the Jaguars and set a new personal record by throwing for 316 yards. He helped secure the 42-10 victory by throwing three touchdown passes.
This Saturday, Sept. 14, the Jaguars will travel to Mississippi to take on the Jackson State University Tigers.
